Simon Jordan makes a truly baffling Pochettino claim when asked about potential Moyes sacking

Simon Jordan has just made a truly baffling claim about West Ham United manager David Moyes and Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Scot has worked wonders since taking over the Hammers for the second time in December 2019, but things have gone stale over the past few months, and recent reports claimed that he is in danger of losing his job.

Meanwhile, Pochettino has endured a tough start at Chelsea, although it's clear to see that his ideas are slowly starting to bed in at Stamford Bridge.

Looking at the Argentine, 99% of people would say that he's on another level to Moyes when it comes to getting the best out of a squad of players.

However, Simon Jordan clearly doesn't think that's the case...

Strange Mauricio Pochettino / David Moyes claim made by Jordan Simon Jordan was speaking on talkSPORT today (November 13th, 10:56am) about Moyes's future in charge of the Hammers.

And he responded when asked where the Scot could go next if he does end up losing his job at West Ham:

"Now I think he is a manager that doesn't need to worry about whether West Ham are going to give him a new contract. I think he's got enough stock and enough credit in the bank to be able to say 'If I'm not wanted here again, I'll go and do what I'm doing well somewhere else'. I don't know, it depends on what opportunities are available. Who knows which managers are going to get sacked, I'm not going to forecast which particular managers are not going to be in a job next year. But I think any of the top... I think he's in and around the sort of area that I suspect Chelsea's manager Pochettino is in. A very, very capable manager, but I'm not sure you're going to win much in terms of if you're going to a top-six side."

Now, whilst Pochettino hasn't been a perennial winner throughout his career, he has still won a league title and reached the Champions League final during his time in football management.

He plays a high tempo, high press brand of exciting, expansive football - the antithesis of Moyes's philosophy.

If a top club had the opportunity to appoint either Mauricio Pochettino or David Moyes, it's very clear who they'd opt for.

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks this?! Moyes has done a fine job at West Ham, but let's not pretend the football he has his team playing now is in any way suitable for the modern game.

Meanwhile, you can see already just how intense Pochettino's Chelsea side are. They will be a big problem for the rest of the top six next season, mark my words.
