David Moyes is reportedly expected to leave West Ham at the end of this season regardless of what happens.
According to the Daily Mail's Sami Mokbel, the Scottish manager will depart the east London side in 2024 having guided the Irons to last season's UEFA Europa Conference League.
Whilst West Ham were disappointing in the Premier League last season, there's no denying that the Hammers have enjoyed a great deal of success under Moyes in his latest spell at the club.
Indeed, with the likes of Ian Holloway not pleased with how West Ham have treated Moyes, perhaps a departure next summer is for the best, and it appears that this is what will happen in 2024.
Mokbel said: "That question will linger until David Moyes finally departs. I think he's going to depart, all the information we have indicates that he will depart at the end of this season."
Moyes has been an undisputed success for West Ham since returning to the club, and leaving next year only seems fitting for the Scottish manager.
Last year's success in Europe feels like it is as good as it will ever be for the Hammers under Moyes, and finding the right replacement will be key for West Ham in 2024.
Whilst a case can be made that Moyes could stay an extra year, the time to leave feels right, and the West Ham boss can depart knowing he's played a huge role in the club's history.
