Kenny Miller has reacted after Fabio Silva went down inside the St Mirren penalty area before the referee waved away any Rangers appeals.

A back-and-forth first half ended with the Gers level despite Dujon Sterling forcing a James Bolton own goal before Mikael Mandron brought the home side level just minutes later.

Moments before the opener, Philippe Clement's men may have felt aggrieved not to have been given a penalty for a foul on Silva.

Speaking on Sky Sports Football (28 April), Miller suggested that it was a 50:50 decision but sided with the St Mirren man.

He said: "There's two sides to this. There's no doubt that Alex Gogic has checked Fabio Silva, I don't know if he can do much about it.

"Silva can't do anything, he's been checked, he's cutting inside and looking for the shot. Alex Gogic just holds his ground and blocks off Silva. It's probably the right call."

How has Fabio Silva performed for Rangers v St Mirren It may have gotten to the point where the Portuguese forward has made a name for himself as a player who dives too much.

This saw the challenge against him be waved away and met with aggressive boo's from the SMISA Stadium crowd. Chants of "Cheat! Cheat! Cheat!" rang around showing what the home fans thought.

He is frustrating at times and should have opened the scoring earlier on as he went through on goal. Silva was blocked by Gogic on that occasion as he was for the penalty shout.

Fabio Silva joined Rangers in January The forward showed great pace to reach the ball after a clever run. He was too slow and took too many touches before getting his shot away.

It feels like once he gets one goal, he might hit a purple patch and go on a run to spur the Gers on towards a title.

If he keeps going to ground under slight contact, he may find scoring regularly more difficult.
