Carlos Forbs was Wolves' final signing of the summer transfer window and so far, fans have only had a few glimpses of the winger.

Wolves landed the youngster on loan from Ajax, but Forbs' move will be made permanent after a certain number of games played, thought to be around 10.

The club will be required to pay Ajax PS11.

4 million.

Forbs was first linked with Wolves when Pedro Neto was being sold by Chelsea, and the club then swooped for him on deadline day.

Realistically, he is the replacement for the Portuguese and fans will hope he can turn out similar.

But there's one thing he should be looking to bring for Wolves that Neto never really did during his time at Molineux.

In a way, he is also a bit like Adama Traore, although not as strong, due to his speed.

That is going to be a very useful weapon for Wolves this season, but Forbs has got to make sure that he brings an end product - which was a regular criticism of Traore in particular.

MORE WOLVES STORIESOne of the biggest criticisms of Neto and Traore while they were at Wolves was that neither of them scored enough goals for how dangerous they were.

But none of them scored with any kind of regularity.

Neto made 135 appearances for Wolves after signing for the club in 2019, but only ever scored 14 goals.

Traore had an even worse record.

He joined Wolves in 2018 and made 194 appearances but also only found the net 14 times.

Forbs was prolific for Man City Neto and Traore could both be unplayable on their days.

But they did not score nearly enough goals for the Old Gold and this is an area Forbs should be looking to be much better in than his two predecessors.

For Ajax last season, Forbs only scored three goals in 38 appearances.

But it was his first ever campaign in senior football for a huge club in Ajax.

However, there is serious potential here with this player.

Wolves have already talked up Forbs' 'speed, directness and confidence', believing he will be 'another good weapon'.

For Manchester City U18s, Forbs was prolific, scoring 24 goals in 34 games, with 23 assists to boot.

For their U23s, Forbs scored 26 in 38 and made 13 assists.

It may have been youth football, but those are some very impressive numbers and clearly demonstrate that Forbs can finish if he gets in the right positions.

Senior football is obviously a completely different kettle of fish.

But Forbs is blessed with blistering pace and great dribbling ability, and these things will make him a big threat.
