Wolves fans are desperately hoping for a turnaround soon after an awful start to the new season.

The club sit bottom of the Premier League table after seven games with just one point on the board.

Concerningly, Wanderers have shipped 21 goals which is the most of any side in the division.

Wolves have been in some promising positions but have been unable to turn performances into points.

Despite the worrying start, Gary O'Neil has been backed by the Wolves board and will be given a bit more time to turn things around.

It is important for the manager that he still has everyone on side, but for pundit Fara Williams, that may not be the case right now.

It could not have been a much worse start for Wolves this season.

Everyone knew the fixtures were tough, but some expected more points on the board at this point.

She said: "There have been so many transitions at Wolves with players and managers.

It is a difficult group but, ultimately, football is a results-based business.

"We saw last season that they did really well under O'Neil, but I think he has lost the dressing room.

"They are not following the tactical gameplan but rather going off and doing their own thing.

"It feels like Wolves have lost their identity as a club.

"Gary O'Neil still has support, but he needs results soon It is up for debate whether O'Neil has lost the dressing room.

Nedum Onuoha said that he's heard the Wolves players are still behind O'Neil, but no one really knows and all we have to go off is body language.

One thing is for sure, O'Neil needs results and quickly.

He's got two more tough games coming up against Manchester City and Brighton, but then there are four presentable opportunities against Crystal Palace, Southampton, Fulham and Bournemouth.

Wolves must get a decent haul of points from those four games in particular, otherwise the players really could check out, and O'Neil could end up being sacked.
