Wolves have ‘no intention’ of letting player go in January – ‘Insistent’ transfer contact, with Liverpool presented as option

Earlier this month, we covered an interview with Rayan Ait-Nouri, where the Algeria international explained how happy he was with his start of the season at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

His performances for the Molineux side certainly haven't gone unnoticed, and the defender has long been courted by the likes of OGC Nice, who gave it a go last summer, to no avail.

Now, we see Liverpool added to the mix for the Wolves left-back, and Le10 Sport have a big article on the defender's situation.

Of course, the news that the Reds could move for him is an exciting one, but the French website make it very clear no January transfer would take place. While they were unable to confirm whether Liverpool have in fact opened some sort of dossier for the Wolves player, they were told that Ait-Nouri is the subject of 'regular' and 'insistent' contact from clubs.

That being said, the Molineux club have 'no intention' of letting the 22-year-old leave in January, 'regardless of the offer that could arrive'.

Therefore, the player will be 'blocked' from making a transfer in the upcoming transfer window.

This means that if Liverpool are indeed interested, they would have to wait until next summer to get something done.
