Ianis Hagi had a major moment to forget for Alaves after a golden chance to grab his first La Liga goal.

The Rangers loanee got off the mark for his temporary club midweek as they record a whopping TEN goal win over Deportivo Murcia on the road in the Copa Del Rey. He found the back of the net twice and with confidence high after his first two strikes he stepped up for penalty duty in a huge league clash at home to bottom club and winless Almeria at home.

The Romania international stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way but his effort sailed high and wide into the supporters behind the goal with the attacking midfield player looking visibly gutted at his effort with his team-mate Luis Rioja giving him a few words in his ear to encourage him. Hagi and Co currently sit outside the relegation zone in Spain's top flight as they eye up crucial points at the bottom.

Next up for the Rangers loanee and his team-mates is a huge away day at Barcelona before the international break. It's then a run of three games they will be targeting results with Granada, Mallorca and Las Palmas all in a row on the return to domestic action.
