Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa was the victim of a violent robbery at his home in the Spanish capital. According to an exclusive report from COPE, four armed hooded men entered Correa's house and demanded jewellery and cash be handed over. The player and his family were held at gunpoint by the assailants during the incident.

A tweet from Tiempo de Juego confirmed that several unknown individuals had entered Correa's residence at gunpoint while he and his family were inside, taking money and jewelry. Despite this terrifying experience, there are no indications that Correa or any of his family members suffered injuries during the robbery.
