France international Antoine Griezmann has recently made history by becoming the alltime leading scorer for Atletico de Madrid. RMC Sport pundit Emmanuel Petit has emphasized that the 32yearold's accomplishments should not be overlooked in comparison to Kylian Mbappe.

Griezmann played a crucial role in France's victory at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as well as their runnerup positions at the UEFA Euro 2016 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Consequently, Petit commended the forward for his outstanding achievements both at club level and on an international stage.

Petit expressed his belief that Griezmann does not receive enough praise and compliments considering his phenomenal career with both the French national team and respective clubs. He also credited Griezman for excelling while playing in one of world's top leagues, making it difficult to say whether Mbappe is a better player than him.

Additionally, he defended Grizemann by stating "If tomorrow he breaks records in a league other than Ligue 1 then I say 'okay.'” indicating that achieving similar success outside of France would elevate Grizeman’s status even further.
