Sheffield United is in talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Croatian goalkeeper Ivo Grbic, who has yet to make a firstteam appearance for Atletico this season. Grbic is also a Croatia international and was part of their 2022 World Cup squad.
The 28yearold stands at an impressive 6ft 5ins and has been capped twice by his national side. However, he has struggled to secure game time due to the exceptional performance of Jan Oblak as one of the world's best keepers at Atletico.
Despite being out of contract in the summer, Sheffield United could acquire Grbic for only PS2million if they reach an agreement with Atletico Madrid. The club is looking to strengthen its goalkeeping options after Wes Foderingham failed to convince on his return.
Currently sitting bottom of the Premier League table with just nine points from 20 games, Sheffield United are eager to bolster their squad for a chance at survival. They have already secured Villarreal forward Ben BreretonDiaz on loan until the end of the campaign but are still considering other potential signings such as Everton's Mason Holgate, who is currently on loan at Southampton.
