West Ham United locked horns with Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Bay Arena earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Hammers made a decent start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.

Jonas Hofmann finally managed to break the deadlock in the 83rd minute before Victor Boniface doubled the home team's advantage in injury time. The contest finished with West Ham suffering a tough 2-0 loss away from home.
