Bavarian Loan Works: Bayern Munich loanee Josip Stanišić saves Leverkusen’s undefeated season…
Source:Bavarianfootballworks

The magical run of Bayer 04 Leverkusen continues to amaze and Bayern Munich's loanee Josip Stanisic remains at the center piece. Although the two late equalizers did not change the results of either competition, they were both celebrated as if it was a cup final winner. Stanisic's involvement in Leverkusen's run makes it a little easier for Bayern fans to swallow not winning the league. See what Stanisic and the other loanees were up to this week:

FC Bayern Munich There are eight players on loan from the first team.

Germany - Bundesliga There are two players on loan in the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nubel and Josip Stanisic.

Alexander Nubel - VfB Stuttgart Nubel was back between the posts for Stuttgart this week against Werder Bremen, after missing the last match with a knock. Bremen put two goals past Nubel including a first half penalty. In typical Nubel fashion, he went a whole game without recording a save. Unfortunately, his team only scored one goal and Stuttgart fell 2-1 on the road and fall three points behind Bayern for second place.

Stuttgart will be on the road again on Saturday, this time to Champions, Leverkusen.

Josip Stanisic - Bayer O4 Leverkusen Leverkusen drew 1-1 twice this week - once in Europa League and once in the Bundesliga - and Stanisic had a hand in both equalizers. In London against West Ham in the second leg of the Europa League quarterfinal, he started and played the full 90 minutes. On defense, he had a blocked shot, a clearance, and three recoveries. In the attack, he completed 95% of his passes and - most importantly - assisted Frimpong in his stoppage time equalizer. Leverkusen advanced to the semifinals with a 3-1 aggregate.

Stanisic started again on the road in Dortmund in the Bundesliga and had a very similar performance. On defense he had two clearances, two interceptions, and seven recoveries. Just when we thought that Leverkusen were going to drop their first match of the season, Stanisic scored in the seventh minute of stoppage time to save their undefeated season and the nicknames, "Laterkusen" or "Neverlusen".

Malik Tillman - PSV Eindhoven PSV did not play this week. They will face SC Heerenveen on Thursday.

Gabriel Vidovic - Dinamo Zagreb Vidovic started for Zagreb on the road in a league game against NK Lokamotiva. He had one shot, but was not able to create anything to help his team score. He had six recoveries on the defense to help his team secure a shutout. He was subbed out with his team up 1-0, which would be the final score.

Zagreb is two points off the lead with a match coming up against league leaders in two weeks. First, they will face NK Varazdin on the road on Saturday.

Italy - Serie A Arijon Ibrahimovic is the only player on loan to Serie A

Arijon Ibrahimovic - Frosinone Calcio Ibrahimovic was on the bench for Frosinone's 0-0 draw on the road against Torino, but did not make it onto the pitch. This was the fourth draw in a row for Frosinone and they are still in the relegation zone.

Frosinone will host Salernitana on Friday.

Austria - Bundesliga Frans Kratzig is the only player from the first team on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga.

Frans Kratzig - Austria Wien Kratzig started for Austria Wien at central attack and played the full 90 minutes, although looking at his stats for the match we would have thought he played in defense. He recorded two clearances - one with his head - an interception, and eleven recoveries to help with keep the shutout. On attack, he had one created chance but did not contribute directly to Austria's three goals. Wien won 3-0 to remain atop the table of the relegation group.

Jamie Lawrence - 1. FC Magdeburg Lawrence was on the bench for Magdeburg's 2-0 win over Hansa Rostock, but did not make it onto the pitch for the road win. However, somehow he still picked up a yellow card from the bench.

Magdeburg will host VfL Osnabruck on Sunday.

Hyun-ju Lee - SV Wehen Wiesbaden Lee was suspended for Wiesbaden's 1-1 road draw against Kaiserslautern due to the red card he picked up last week.

Wiesbaden will host Greuther Furth on Sunday.

Yusuf Kabadayi - Schalke 04 Kabadyi started and played all 90 minutes against Wanner and Elversberg. He had two shots, but one missed badly and one was blocked from a weird angle. Schalke will host Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday.

Lucas Schneller - SC Freiburg II Schneller was on the bench as the backup keeper for Freiburg II's 2-0 road loss against Preussen Munster, just as fellow loanee Schenk did.

Grazer AK will travel to face Dibrani's SW Bregenz on Saturday.

Benjamin Dibrani - SW Bregenz Dibrani started on the bench for Bregenz against Florisdorfer AC. He came into the match at halftime when his team was down 1-0. He was not able to influence the match significantly and a Bregenz own goal made the final score 2-0.

Bregenz are winless in six matches and are falling quickly down the table, but they still have a nine point safety net. Bregenz will host Jastremski's league-leading Grazer AK.

Barry Hepburn - DSV Leoben Hepburn was on the bench to start Leoben's match against FC Liefering when they were down 1-0. Each team scored a goal in the final five minutes, but Hepburn was not involved in Leoben's goal. The match ended in a 2-1 home loss against Red Bull Salzburg's feeder team.

Leoben will be on the road to SV Lafnitz on Friday.

Leon Fust - SKU Amstetten Fust started on the bench for Amstetten's match against fellow basement dweller Sturm Graz II. He came into the match in the 60th minute - shortly after his team went down 2-1. Unfortunately, Fust was not able to help his team create any other solid chances, but Sturm II scored two more goals to win 4-1.

Amstetten will be on the road to SV Ried on Friday.

Taichi Fukui - Portimonense Fukui started for Portimonense on the road against Familicao. He only had had 20 touches in the 65 minutes he was on the pitch. He had two shots from outside the box that missed badly, but did not create any chances. He was subbed off when his team was down 2-1, but fortunately they snagged a goal and a point on the road.

Portimonense remains in the relegation zone, just one point out of safety. They will host Moreirense on Sunday.

FC Bayern Frauen There are five players on loan from FC Bayern's Frauen team.

Germany - Frauen Bundesliga Four players on loan are playing in the Frauen-Bundesliga: Emilie Bragstad, Karolina Lea Vilhjalmsdottir, Natalia Padilla, and Julia Landenberger.

Emilie Bragstad - Bayer 04 Leverkusen Leverkusen was on the road against Landenberger's RB Leipzig. Bragstad started for Leverkusen and played the full 90 minutes. She blocked a shot, had two clearances, an interception, and six recoveries. On a night where Leverkusen needed a goal, Bragstad was not very active on the attack (no shots or created chances), but sent six long balls into the final third.

Karolina Lea Vilhjalmsdottir- Bayer 04 Leverkusen After leaving the match injured in the first half of last week's match, Vilhjalmsdottir was on the bench for the beginning of the match but was able to make it onto the pitch in the second half. She did not have the best of matches. She only completed 23% of her passes and had a shot, which was blocked. Unfortunately, she was not able to score or help her team score and Leverkusen fell 1-0.

Leverkusen will host Bayern on Saturday, May 4 - where Bayern could clinch the league title if they win Monday and the match against Leverkusen.

Koln will host Wolfsburg on Friday, May 3.

Julia Landenberger - RB Leipzig Landenberger started at center-back for Leipzig opposite her fellow loanee Bragstad. She helped Leipzig get the home win and shut out with two clearances, two interceptions, and three recoveries. She was also unable to help too much in the attack, but her team found a way to score a goal. Leipzig won the tight match 1-0.

Leipzig will travel to face Nurnberg on Monday, May 6. A result would confirm survival another year in the Bundesliga.

Sweden - Damallsvenskan Momoko Tanikawa is the only player on loan to the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

Momoko Tanikawa - FC Rosengard Tanikawa started for the second straight match for Rosengard on the road to Kristiansands DFF. Her hot beginning of her European career continued. Tanikawa stayed on the field for the full 90 minutes as Rosengard cruised to a 3-1 win.

Rosengard will host winless AIK on Saturday.
