West Ham United welcomed Bayer 04 Leverusen at the London Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Europa League.

The Hammers made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 13th minute when Michail Antonio got his name on the scoresheet.

West Ham went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Jeremie Frimpong ended up scoring the equaliser for the visitors in the 89th minute as the contest finished with West Ham earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw in front of their home fans.

However, the London club were eliminated from the Europa League after losing the tie by an aggregate score of 3-1.
