With Bayern Munich's upcoming Champions League game in mind, Thomas Tuchel is expected to use Saturday's game against Eintracht Frankfurt as a test run for their midweek clash vs Real Madrid.
The big news coming into this game is that Leroy Sane will be unavailable. The German has been struggling with an issue with his pubic bone, and will be rested with a view to playing against Real on Tuesday. In absence of Sane, Raphael Guerreiro could start in an attacking position with Noussair Mazraoui at left-back, just like Bayern did against Arsenal.
Tuchel will also be without Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, the latter of which is unlikely to play against this season with inclusion in France's squad at Euro 2024 also in doubt. That means starts for Thomas Muller and Jamal Musiala, supporting Harry Kane who could yet break Robert Lewandowski's goalscoring record.
After spraining his ankle in training, Dayot Upamecano is also a doubt for this game, so expect to see a defensive partnership of Matthijs de Ligt and Eric Dier, with Kim Min-jae again finding a place on the bench.
Manuel Neuer - Joshua Kimmich, Matthijs de Ligt, Eric Dier, Noussair Mazraoui - Konrad Laimer, Leon Goretzka - Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala, Raphael Guerreiro - Harry Kane.
