In the latest update provided by SPORT, it seems that Barcelona captain Marc Andre Ter Stegen is also now injured. While on international duty with the German National team, the player has fallen victim to some sort of back pain.

As per German coach Julian Nagelsmann, Ter Stegen is currently experiencing some levels of back pain and discomfort. This pain prevents him from competing in regular training and matches.

Hence, the player is expected to soon return to Barcelona and undergo further examination. Fans and coaches alike within Barcelona will have their fingers crossed that their captain does not suffer from something too severe.

Already a bit understaffed in other positions, the goalkeeper depth is particularly mediocre. In case of Ter Stegen becoming unavailable, it is assumed that Inaki Pena would take over.

A solid keeper in his own right, but Pena fails to compare to Ter Stegen. The German is arguably among the very best of goalkeepers currently playing in Europe and his quality is essential to Barcelona in the way that they play football.
