No matter how one judges or looks at it, Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona have had a superb start to the season. Relentless and almost unstoppable at times, La Blaugrana have found the equation that they needed to dominate any opponent. Fortunately for Barcelona, Hansi Flick's influence did not take long to rub off on the team.
However, what makes his team even more impressive is perhaps the fact that it has never truly been at full strength so far this season. At various points of this season so far, primarily due to injury-related reasons, Barcelona have lacked primary depth but they have managed to make up for it.
One player whose season so far has been marked full of ups and downs so far is Dani Olmo, Barca's big signing of the summer transfer window. Upon his initial arrival, the Spaniard had to wait until he got registered to finally be able to make his first appearance for Barcelona against Rayo Vallecano.
Ever since that day, as highlighted by MARCA, it has been clear that the player has a relentless resolve. Despite having played only five games so far this season, which includes appearances against the likes of Rayo Vallecano, Real Valladolid, Girona, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, he already has three goals to his name this season as well.
However, he also faced an unfortunate injury after the game against Girona that had him sidelined for around five weeks. Gradually, he made his way back and only just recently did Olmo get to make his return against Bayern Munich in a small cameo, after which he got to have a more prominent return against Real Madrid in the recent 4-0 win for Barcelona.
While he may not be starting for the team again just yet, Dani Olmo's desire to return to his position as a key player for Hansi Flick remains as strong as ever. Fortunately for him, as per recent reports, he is expected to finally start again for Barcelona against Espanyol in the next game for Hansi Flick's team.
More Stories / Latest News The team looks much more direct and efficient whenever he is on the pitch, especially the forwards around him, and that is a trait that Barcelona have missed about him in his absence. However, with Dani Olmo now fully back, Hansi Flick can rub his hands in excitement.
