Rico Lewis and Savinho have been included in the 100-strong shortlist for the 2024 Golden Boy award.

Since its inception in 2003, the trophy, organised by Italian sports paper Tuttosport sees votes cast for the top football player under the age of 21 currently active in Europe.

It follows memorable respective calendar years for the pair, with Lewis helping City to a fourth straight Premier League crown last term and Savinho playing an instrumental role in Girona's Champions League qualification before his summer switch to the Etihad Stadium.

During the second half of 2023/24, our Academy graduate played 10 times and scored a vital goal in a crucial 4-2 away win at Crystal Palace during the fierce title race.

Meanwhile, Savinho scored 11 goals and registered 10 assists across La Liga and Copa del Rey assignments which helped Girona reach European football for the current campaign.

City's duo have also enjoyed individual strong starts to the campaign which has helped Pep Guardiola's side sit at the Premier League's summit and remain unbeaten across our 14 matches in 2024/25 so far.

And their rapid development sees them included in Tuttosport's 100-player shortlist.

Among the nominees are former City Elite Development Squad forward Carlos Forbes, currently at Wolves, Barcelona's Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid's Endrick.

Past winners of the prestigious award include Sergio Aguero (2007), Mario Balotelli (2010), Raheem Sterling (2014) and Erling Haaland - who claimed the award in 2020.

Round Four voting is now open before the shortlist is condensed - cast yours for Rico and Savinho here.
