Bojan Miovski has been warned by his sporting director that he must be able to adapt at Girona.

The former Aberdeen striker moved to the La Liga side in the summer for a record-breaking PS6.8m after scoring 44 goals in 98 games for the Pittodrie outfit.

He signed a deal until 2028 and of course was relishing the prospect of playing in one of the best leagues in the world as well as the Champions League.

Miovski has been handed game time at Girona, making eight starts from 14 overall appearances so far. But the North Macedonian, known as a goal machine in Scotland, isn't finding the back of the net on a regular basis.

He hasn't scored in La Liga or the Champions League yet with his only two goals coming in the same Copa Del Rey clash against CD Extremadura.

Now, Girona sporting director Quique Carcel has told ElDesMarque that Miovski needs to find a way to adapt at the club after a tough start in Spain.

"He knows what he needs to improve. He is denied in front of goal, but we want to transmit confidence and tranquility to him.

"There is still a month and a half left until the winter transfer window and things could very well have changed.

"We have to be cautious, but if we have needs, we will sign what we think is right."

Miovski currently with North Macedonia The Dons hero can put his Girona struggles to one side for a couple of weeks as he gets set to represent his country across the November international break.

North Macedonia will play Latvia and the Faroe Islands in the UEFA Nations League with the nation well on course to finish first in League C Group 4.

Miovski will be looking to score his third international goal of the season having already netted against Armenia on two separate occasions - he also grabbed an assist versus Latvia last time out.
