Facundo Pellistri has revealed whether or not he'll return to Manchester United following the expiration of his deal at Granada. The 22-year-old winger has spent the final months of the season on loan at the Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes, earning his stripes in the Spanish top flight.

Since joining Granada in January, he's featured 10 times in La Liga, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Despite some impressive performances against the likes of Barcelona and Real Sociedad, the Uruguay international hasn't managed to drag the club out of the bottom three.

Granada have a 10-point deficit to make up in the final five games of the campaign, but survival remains a possibility and Pellistri has been a shining light. He caught the eye again during Granada's 3-0 win over Osasuna at the weekend, firing his side ahead in the opening half an hour.

The Red Devils youngster helped Jose Ramon Sandoval's side secure three crucial points in the relegation scrap. Speaking to Uruguayan radio station Sport 890 after the game, Pellistri reflected on the result.

"On a personal level, scoring a goal always (helps)," said the Manchester United loanee. "In these moments, when we need to win, scoring the goal that opens the game is what I stay with."

Pellistri currently sees his contract at Old Trafford expire at the end of next season. He's featured just 24 times for the Red Devils since joining from Club Atletico Penarol in October 2020. Speaking to ESPN in March, the Uruguayan reflected on his disappointing season at Manchester United.

"The whole time I was in Manchester was incredible," he said. "The experiences I had, I shared with the best players in the world and I was able to play many important games. Today, I am in a stage of looking for more minutes, I am very happy with the opportunity.

"Although I had minutes at Manchester United, it was not the amount I would like given the football moment I was in. I am very happy for the minutes I played here (in Spain). A player always wants to play. Many times one does not put oneself into the manager's decisions, who has to think about many more things.

"Many times the player does not know what the coach is thinking or why he makes the decisions he makes. One has to be ready and enjoy the moments one has."
