There were a couple of worrying notes for AC Milan after the win against Hellas Verona yesterday, one of which included concerns over the condition of Mike Maignan.
As a reminder, Maignan passed a late fitness test to be available against Verona after having come off in the win over Slavia Praha on Thursday night due to taking a knock on the knee.
The substitute Matteo Gabbia had to take goal kicks towards the end of the game as Maignan almost did the splits when making a stop. It looked like he has tweaked his groin but could not come off due to the fact all the subs had been used.
However, good news has arrived regarding the condition of Maignan after the save on Swiderski, as has been confirmed by MilanNews. The former Lille player had felt some discomfort behind his thigh, but luckily any muscle problems were averted.
It is certainly a relief given the various issues that Maignan has battled since he arrived at Milan and he will presumably now join up with the French national team.
Pierre Kalulu on the other hand has not been as lucky, as he faces up to six weeks out with a knee ligament issue.
