All the latest Liverpool news you need as Jurgen Klopp's squad prepares to host their Merseyside rivals Everton later today, with two players currently in Italy supposedly on the radar of the Reds.

Liverpool 'receive information' on top Serie A prospect

According to Calcio Mercato, Liverpool has 'received information' on Lecce fullback Patrick Dorgu ahead of the January transfer window. The 18-year-old has impressed for the Italian club, who are now preparing for top clubs across Europe to show an interest in the player moving forward.

However, Klopp's side will face tough competition from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, who have recently sent scouts to U21 Italy games to watch Dorgu in action. Lecce has set their valuation at $21m (PS17m/EUR20m) for the defender, with the club preferring to sell him next summer but would be open to a potential sale in January.

Liverpool have deal in place with star

Liverpool has reached an agreement with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to reports from Italy. The future of the 24-year-old Nigerian striker has been cast into doubt after the official Napoli account posted a controversial video insulting their star man earlier in the month.

The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and teams from the Saudi Pro League have all been linked with a potential move for the forward, although it is Liverpool who has supposedly emerged as favorites in recent weeks. According to Italian journalist Valter De Maggio (via Sport Witness), the Reds have agreed personal terms with the player and will now look to negotiate with the Serie A champions regarding a fee.

"The parties had reached an agreement for the renewal, but then Calenda and Osimhen went back on their word. What happened? There was the inclusion of another club, from the Premier League. I'm talking about Liverpool," he said.

"There would be frequent contacts, but I just learned something else: there would be agreements already reached. Let me clarify: the agreements would be between the Reds and the player, therefore they would not involve Napoli. I hope Laurentiis will be able to keep Victor Osimhen at least until June, but we can't be sure."

Osimhen is an excellent forward but it would be a major surprise if Liverpool signed him. He would cost a fortune and plays the same position as Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota.
