There was another step taken in AC Milan's mission to build a new stadium and a program agreement is expected to be approved, according to a report.

Il Giorno (via MilanNews) reports that yesterday the mayor of San Donato Milanese, Francesco Squeri, met ten colleagues (out of a total of 15 who were called) from the Councils of the South East and South-West Milanese areas to illustrate in broad terms Milan's stadium project, the connected technical-bureaucratic process and also begin to discuss possible critical issues.

The meeting was attended by the mayors of Carpiano, Cerro al Lambro, Colturano, Dresano, Melegnano, Opera, Paullo, Peschiera Borromeo, San Giuliano and San Zenone.

From them came a sort of green light for the AC Milan project, with some issues such as roads, transport, infrastructure and safety, which will have to remain under the spotlight given the scope of the project and the repercussions that will have repercussions on the territory.

After yesterday's discussions, there will soon be more talks about a program agreement. In addition to the municipalities close to San Donato, this meeting will also include the Lombardy Region, Metropolitan City, Parco Sud, Autostrade per l 'Italy, RFI and Trenord.

These are the next steps: after the request for an urban planning variant, the Council of San Donato plans to close the preliminary investigation phase - i.e. the checks on the conformity of the project - by the end of 2023, and subsequently everything will be presented to the populus.
