Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca is wanted by his current loan club Real Betis, but the La Liga side are waiting until the Championship promotion race is decided.
The Whites have just one game of the regular season remaining as they sit second in the table, but could be forced into the playoffs if Ipswich Town pick up four points from their last two games, starting tonight against Coventry City.
Loan players away from the club might have to wait until Leeds know what division they are in before making their minds up on where to play next season.
That is because Leeds could end up promoted by the end of this week if Ipswich Town continue their winless run in the last two games.
However, Leeds failing to get promoted hands them a huge boost in trying to re-sign Roca, whether that be permanent or on another loan.
Will Leeds get promoted?
For Roca in particular, it is vital that the Whites go up, given that the midfielder has himself confirmed an additional loan clause to stay at Betis in 24/25 if Daniel Farke's side stay down.
As for a permanent deal, the report above suggests that EUR12million (PS10.2m) might do the trick to see Leeds agree to sell.
Roca is our big chance of an eight-figure fee If we're promoted, Roca is a guaranteed PS10million on the board for us when recouping fees for those that left on loan.
However, you do have to worry if we aren't promoted that Roca isn't the only one that has this sort of clause in his contract.
Should this be the case for the rest of those that went on loan, we're back to square one in the summer.
