Real Betis are exploring ways to keep Marc Roca at the club next season and are keeping an eye on the "cheap" route to secure his signature from Leeds United, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Spanish news outlet reported on 29 April that an extended loan deal will be on the table if Leeds fail to gain promotion this season, which is no longer certain.

It is said that Roca wants to remain at Betis, but convincing Leeds to do a deal may be complicated if they are promoted to the Premier League - so they will have to wait and see.

Marc Roca could quit Leeds United in new Real Betis deal Promotion, as mentioned previously, is no longer in the hands of Daniel Farke, as Ipswich need to collect just four points to pip Leeds to an automatic promotion place - something Roca and Betis will be hoping for.

However, Roca had previously confessed that he has been cheering on the team at Elland Road despite being away, as he insisted he still wishes the club the best and wants to see them successful regardless of what it means for his future.

Having spent the season on loan with Betis after leaving Elland Road following the club's relegation, it feels inevitable that he will remain in Spain beyond the end of his current deal as the club and the player are both pushing for it.

Leeds United However, Leeds will hold the cards if they are promoted, and will not be willing to let Roca go for cheap as player sales have been shown to make up a large percentage of their income, keeping them free from the risk of financial fair play breaches.
