Club trying to get Leeds man for lowest possible price – Waiting patiently, ‘will on both sides’

Real Betis want to sign Marc Roca from Leeds United this summer, but at the lowest possible price they can get.

That's according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the Spanish club are looking for the 'lowest possible expenditure' when it comes to the midfielder.

The newspaper explains that Betis are determined to keep the midfielder, who has been on loan from Leeds since last summer, and the Spaniard is equally keen on making the move permanent.

At the moment neither side have moved, though, as Betis are waiting to see what happens with Leeds' push for promotion back to the Premier League. That's because if Leeds fail to get promoted then Roca can leave on loan once again and Betis can avoid paying for him entirely.

Betis are therefore waiting patiently to see what happens but there is a 'will on both sides' to get a deal done as Roca has also made it clear he wants the move made permanent.

The two parties are 'in good harmony' and that means there is a desire and also flexibility to find a solution to ensure their relationship does not end this summer.

It really all depends on Leeds, though. If they are promoted, they can easily demand Betis pay the EUR12m purchase clause they negotiated last summer. If they are not promoted, the power will be in Betis' hands once again.
