Source:Thehardtackle

Real Madrid might look to re-sign Zinedine Zidane when Carlo Ancelotti calls it quits at the Santiago Bernabeu. According to Jose Alvarez on El Chiringuito TV, Zinedine Zidane is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are scouring the market for managers to bring in a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti. And they might turn to their former UEFA Champions League-winning boss to take the hot seat at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Zinedine Zidane has only managed one club during his managerial career thus far. But he has etched his name in the pantheons of great coaches in the game's history. The Frenchman has had two stints at Real Madrid, winning multiple trophies with the Spanish giants.

One of the greatest players of all time, Zidane is a rare manager who has also achieved success in the coaching world. In particular, the 51-year-old is renowned for guiding Real Madrid to an unprecedented three back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles.

But the French tactician has also overseen two triumphant campaigns in La Liga, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. Zidane's first stint with Real Madrid began in January 2016 after Los Blancos sacked Rafael Benitez. But his stint ended after only two and a half years, as he left after the end of the 2017/18 season.

Carlo Ancelotti replaced Zidane at the helm at the Bernabeu and has guided them to every major trophy. But the Italian's future is uncertain amid links with the Brazilian national team. So, the Merengues are scouring the managerial market, with Roberto De Zerbi and Xabi Alonso emerging on their radar. But Zidane has now emerged as an option for the position.

The Spanish giants are seemingly keeping their options open. But having a familiar name at the Bernabeu might work for them and help bring the best out of several players. It is still early days to finalise Ancelotti's replacement, considering the Italian tactician is yet to officially commit to Brazil. But it will be interesting to see if Zidane's name tops Real Madrid's wishlist.
