Real Madrid will not turn to club legend Sergio Ramos as a solution to their defensive injury crisis this season.
Carlo Ancelotti is short of options in his backline with injuries to Eder Militao, David Alaba, Aurelien Tchouameni and Jacobo Ramon all out. The Italian manager is left with only Antonio Rudiger, Raul Asencio and Jesus Vallejo as options in the centre of defence.
Ramos has been without a club since departing Sevilla in the summer and could be available for free. The Spaniard chose not to extend his deal with the La Liga side having spent a season with his boyhood club after a two-season spell with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 38-year-old left Real Madrid in 2021 after 16 years at the Bernabeu. Ramos made 671 appearances for Los Blancos and scored 101 goals in a tenure that saw five league titles and four Champions League wins.
Ex-Real Madrid midfielder Guti believes t hat Ramos offers Les Merengues the answer to their current problems and that club have no option but to enter the transfer market. Speaking to Dazn, Guti offers an ideal short-term option.
