San Antonio FC signs former MLS Supporters' Shield winner Pablo Sisniega for 2024 season
Sisniega brings nine years of professional experience to the team, having played in both MLS and Spain

San Antonio FC has made a significant signing for the 2024 season by bringing on board former MLS Supporters' Shield winner Pablo Sisniega as their new goalkeeper. The deal is pending league and federation approval, with terms of the agreement not disclosed as per team policy.
Head Coach Alen Marcina expressed his excitement about welcoming Sisniega to the team, highlighting his valuable experience from playing in both MLS and Spain. With two years at Charlotte FC and two seasons at Los Angeles FC under his belt, including helping LAFC win its first MLS Supporters' Shield in 2019, Sisniega's addition is expected to bring exceptional leadership qualities and enhance competition within SAFC's goalkeeping group.
Sisniega began his professional career with Real Sociedad B before moving on to play in Major League Soccer. He also spent time in various top academy sides such as Chivas Guadalajara of Liga MX, Philadelphia Union of MLS, and Real Sociedad of La Liga during his youth career.
The Mexican native will be joining San Antonio FC as they prepare for training camp ahead of kicking off their 2024 USL Championship season at home against Loudoun United FC on Saturday March 9th.
