An insight into the hefty praise lavished on Real Madrid starlet Arda Guler by a headline member of the club's midfield ranks on Friday night has come to the fore online.

The name of youngster Guler, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid over the course of the last 24 hours.

As much comes fresh off a special night for the Turk, at Anoeta.

Afforded his first-ever La Liga start in Real Madrid's meeting with Real Sociedad, Guler grasped the opportunity afforded to him with both hands.

En route to a Man of the Match display, the 19-year-old proved himself decisive, in netting the only goal of a hard-fought affair in San Sebastian.

On the back of his fine first-time finish rippling the net, Guler was swiftly mobbed by his teammates, who made clear their delight for a player who has endured a trying debut campaign in Spain's capital.

And, amid as much, one player sent a special message the way of the teenage sensation.

As revealed by Marca, in approaching Guler to celebrate with his young teammate on Friday, Luka Modric informed him that:

"You're a genius, Arda. Great strike."

High praise indeed, from a former Ballon d'Or winner nonetheless...
