Fabio Cannavaro admitted he could not change too much about Udinese in his limited preparation ahead of Thursday's unusual 18-minute match game against Roma, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the Giallorossi.

There were only 18 minutes of regular time played, as the originally scheduled fixture on April 14 was suspended in the 72nd minute following Evan Ndicka's sudden collapse on the pitch.

The re-started match on Thursday was Cannavaro's first since his appointment as Udinese head coach on Monday.

Giving his first post-match press conference in charge of Udinese, Cannavaro was asked about his side's defensive errors, to which he replied: "It can be changed, but I can't change much in two days, because I didn't have that much time.

"If you want to limit the damage, you can try something different, we will evaluate everything. We can't leave anything to chance."

While Udinese had chances of their own against Roma on Thursday evening, it was the visitors who snatched the lead through Bryan Cristante with one of the last touches of the game in the 95th minute.

When asked what he made of the Udinese performance against Roma, Cannavaro added: "I saw that they were concentrated, calm, and focussed on the task at hand. But then, there are always going to be errors.

"It's a period where things haven't gone so well, there hasn't been a lot of positivity, so we have to be able to put a stop to that.

"I've already started talking to lots of the players, to try and understand them and to reduce the errors."
