David O'Leary is convinced that Aaron Ramsdale will leave Arsenal this summer after losing his place in Mikel Arteta's side.

David Raya has established himself as Arsenal's number-one goalkeeper after a shaky start to life at the Emirates Stadium.

The Spaniard has put in composed performances of late after replacing Aaron Ramsdale between the sticks.

But it would appear that Raya has made the position his own and David O'Leary believes it will lead to Ramsdale heading out the door this summer.

O'Leary convinced Ramsdale will leave Arsenal Speaking on talkSPORT, the Arsenal legend admitted he was surprised to see Raya join from Brentford over the summer.

"The goalkeeping situation I was quite surprised when it happened," O'Leary admitted. "Between the two of them I don't think there's much in it.

"Why they changed Ramsdale is because the lad from Brentford is better on the ball. I haven't seen that much in all the games I have seen that is a thing to make such a change? I was quite surprised.

"I can't see Ramsdale staying at the end of the season, I don't think you can have two goalkeepers of similar quality, I think one has got to go in the end."

The 25-year-old will be desperate to start playing regularly once again as he's already seen his hopes of overtaking Jordan Pickford as England's number one disappear due to a lack of game time.

There have already been suggestions that his departure this summer is 'inevitable'. Whether or not Arsenal find a club willing to match their PS50 million price tag remains to be seen.
