Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso may fail his medical at Aston Villa if any outliers appear in his check-up amid his injury history, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he's had a number of mild and moderate setbacks in his career and the lack of game time will also be damning for him.

This comes after The Sun reported on 6 June that Unai Emery is keen to bring the Argentina international to Villa Park this summer.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:

"He's had a number of mild and moderate muscular injuries throughout his career.

"It's not out of the norm for players, especially as it comes to repeat injuries because previous injuries are the highest indicator of future injuries.

"He's also not been playing regularly for Spurs and that does impact overall fitness.

"The key with him will continue to focus on his fitness and habits to limit injury risk.

"As far as a medical, there's always a chance of it going wrong if an outlier pops up on his medical."

Aston Villa must avoid taking a risk on Giovanni Lo Celso Villa should avoid signing Lo Celso due to his inconsistent performances and injury history.

Despite his technical abilities, the 28-year-old has struggled to make a significant impact at Tottenham and during his loan spells.

His lack of consistent playing time and limited goal contributions raise questions about his ability to perform consistently at the Premier League level.
