Youth footballers at Haverhill Rovers got the chance to put questions to England Euro 24 players during a live filming session for a YouTube channel with almost 2.7 million subscribers.

The youngsters grabbed their chance to put questions to Aston Villa's Ezri Konsa and Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze when presenter Liam MacDevitt and a film crew visited the New Croft on Saturday to record a live episode of Lion's Den, which is broadcast on the England national football team's official YouTube channel.

The show is livestreamed every day during the Euros, with part of the programme seeing England squad members take questions from players at community clubs in different parts of England.

They then got in touch with Mark to ask if the club would be interested in taking part in the show, which culminated in the presenter and crew spending at least five hours at the New Croft.

Mark, whose 14-year-old son Isaac was one of the Rovers youth players chosen at random on the day to ask a question, said: "Essentially it was just a reward for all of their efforts.

Rovers invited its Girls U10 and U11 teams, plus a selection of players from four U14 boys teams to take part in a training session that was caught on camera during the 46-minute show.

Some of them were then asked if they would like to take the chance to put a question to Eze and Konsa.

Rovers' football development officer Lois Balfour and Milo Barton, skipper of the club's U16 and U18 teams, were also interviewed live by Liam MacDevitt.
