Tottenham Hotspur Have Been Urged To Land This Brentford Forward: Should Postecoglu Snap Him Up?
Source: The 4th

In a recent segment with talkSPORT, pundit Tony Cascarino urged Tottenham Hotspur to land Brentford forward Ivan Toney. Cascarino said,

"I personally think Toney could fit both (Tottenham and West Ham), as long as you play a runner off him.

"When you are buying a centre-forward that leads the line and he is useful with flick-ons, holding the ball up and bringing players into play. You are looking for movement beyond. Both of them clubs have that. They have the runners beyond.

"Bowen can do it for West Ham. Son can do that and others. Brennan Johnson, he can run beyond. They have that. I wouldn't say one is a preference for me. I don't think he will go for PS50 million. I would go more likely PS40 million. There might be add-ons to get to PS50 million. What's Ivan now? 28? There is a player there you can utilise and get a lot from. A useful player for somebody."

Toney's Recent Form In The Premier League Toney had a decent campaign at Brentford recently after he produced a few impressive displays for them in the Premier League. The 28-year-old banged in four goals and grabbed a couple of assists in 17 matches for the Bees in the league.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Snap Toney Up This Summer? Toney can create some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has proven himself to be a capable finisher in the final third and can create the odd chance for his teammates up top. However, the England international has to find a way to improve his link-up play in the opposition half.

Toney would undoubtedly add more firepower to Tottenham boss Angelos Postecoglu's frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team place at the North London club in the future.

At 28, Toney is playing in his prime which makes him a decent option for Spurs to consider this summer. Therefore, Postecoglu should think about snapping the English striker up in this transfer period.
