Brighton have signed England U19 goalkeeper Hannah Poulter on a three-year deal, Mail Sport can reveal.

Poulter had been playing college football for the University of South Carolina but had set her sights on returning to England for the upcoming season.

Mail Sport reported last month that Poulter had interest from a host of Women's Super League clubs, including Tottenham, West Ham and Everton, but the youngster has opted to pen a long-term deal with the Seagulls.

It is understood Poulter signed her contract before flying out to Lithuania, where she will be part of England's U19 squad for this summer's European Championship.

Brighton appointed former Australia international Dario Vidosic as their new manager on Wednesday and have already been busy in the transfer market.

Poulter, who is a product of Reading's academy, will be hoping England can bring more tournament success this summer.

The young Lionesses will play the tournament hosts on July 14, Serbia on July 17 and France on July 20 as they bid to reach the knockout stages.
