Everton must secure a deal for Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer.

The Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old striker whose future lies away from Stamford Bridge.

Jacob Steinberg reported on 30 June that Chelsea could sell the 23-times capped Albania forward to Everton. The player is up for sale, but there's a lot of work to be done to secure the deal.

Broja was playing for Albania in the 2024 European Championships, and his future was always likely to be sorted after the tournament.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Broja is now back from Euro 2024, he is expected to leave Chelsea with talks likely to advance quickly.

Jacobs wrote on X (2 July): "Now Armando Broja is back from Euro 2024, he is expected to leave Chelsea with talks likely to advance quickly."

Everton have already secured two signings and the Toffees are reportedly close to completing the signing of Marseille attacker Iliman Ndiaye.

Sean Dyche needs to add more quality at the top. Last summer, they signed Beto from Udinese on a big-money deal, but he hasn't done enough to justify his price tag.

Moreover, several clubs in Turkey are vying for his signature, and his future is far from certain.

The same can be said about Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He was heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer, and a deal was agreed between the two clubs.

But Calvert-Lewin couldn't agree personal terms with the Magpies, and the deal was called off. It has been reportedly widely that Newcastle could revisit the deal towards the end of the window for Calvert-Lewin who has only 12 months left on his deal at Goodison Park.

Broja may have struggled to show his quality at Chelsea, but that shouldn't stop Everton from poaching him. He has loads of experience and needs to play under a manager who will trust him and give him the confidence to lead the attack.

His performance on loan at Southampton is ample proof that he can be a fantastic goalscorer. Everton can always look to sign him on loan with a view to making it permanent.

Once the takeover at the club goes through, the Toffees will be in a great financial position to sign him next summer if he performs well. Get it done.
