Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on Brazilian forward Richarlison and shared when he could return.

It has been a good start to the Premier League season for Tottenham and Richarlison has definitely looked better than last season.

He has featured in 10 games for the club this campaign but he was on the bench and did not feature in the division for the first time this season against Chelsea.

It was reported earlier this week that Richarlison would now require surgery for an ongoing groin issue and manager Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on the player.

Speaking on the injury to Richarlison, Postecoglou said: "To be fair to Richy he has battled through it for the season so far, with international break coming up it gives him a chance to get it done now. It should only be four weeks to a month, so hopefully after the international break not too long after that."

When reports were surfacing that Richarlison would require surgery, many may have thought that he would be sidelined for quite a long period.

Thankfully, the update from Postecoglou has suggested that he will be back a lot sooner and this is great news to hear.

Hopefully Tottenham will be able to stay strong over the next few matches and no doubt the manager will be happy that the international break is coming up to give injured players an extra week.
