Former Aston Villa star Jack Grealish in referee rant after Man City's victory over Everton
Source:Birminghammail

Former Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish couldn't hide his frustration from the viewers when the Manchester City' star was seen visibly frustrated after the final whistle at Goodison Park, following a clash with Everton's Nathan Patterson. The two players had been in competition throughout the match, which saw City come from behind to secure a 3-1 victory.

Grealish and Patterson both received yellow cards during the game. Their on-field rivalry didn't end when the match did, with Grealish seen speaking to the referee after the final whistle.

In the closing moments of the match, Grealish and Patterson had a bit of a chat by the side of the pitch. The TV commentary on Amazon Prime Video noted that Grealish tried to shake hands with Patterson before the game ended, but the Everton player wasn't having it - he even gave Grealish a little push.

After the match, the cameras caught a clearly annoyed Grealish talking to Brooks and pointing at Patterson. He did the same when he shook hands with his Everton teammate, Michael Keane. James Tarkowski then stepped in to try and calm Grealish down.

Grealish and Brooks carried on their conversation for a bit before the Amazon Prime Video cameras moved away. Eventually, Grealish, 28, walked off under supervision and headed towards the tunnel.

Grealish made 213 first team appearances for Villa over eight seasons, and was the club's player of the season in 2019-20. He joined Man City for a record-breaking PS100 million in the summer of 2021 and was part of their treble-winning team last season.
