Jurgen Klopp has given his thoughts on which team will come out on top when they play each other: Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur.

City's game against Ange Postecoglou's side was set to take place this past weekend.

However, unlike Tottenham, Pep Guardiola's men were in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they beat Chelsea 1-0, which is why the game was rearranged.

Now, the game is set to be a late-night kick-off and that too on a Tuesday.

The Sky Blues will travel to North London to go head-to-head against the Lilywhites at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This season, Manchester City broke their scoreless streak at the stadium with a 1-0 victory in the FA Cup, courtesy of a Nathan Ake winner but they are yet to score past them in the Premier League.

Currently, Spurs are sitting six points adrift of fourth spot behind Aston Villa.

However, Postecoglou and Co. have played two fewer games than Emery's side.

As a result, by the time City and Tottenham play against each other in May, they could have the added motivation of getting a result to keep their chances of securing top four alive.

The treble-winners will also likely be under pressure to win.

The title race is expected to go down to the wire after all and any slip-ups could be punished.

However, Jurgen Klopp expects it to be business as usual for Manchester City as he has predicted them to beat Tottenham in their game in hand.

"Fulham usually cause us more problems so it was a good performance at the right moment", he told BBC Match of The Day.

"We want to stay in that race, that's clear. Arsenal won yesterday, Manchester City will win their game in hand, so we have to win games and that's what we'll try."

Could Klopp be playing mind games to throw Man City off? In our view, it would make sense for Jurgen Klopp to put the pressure on Manchester City to get the job done against Tottenham.

With Klopp being in his final season, he would be desperate to win the league title.

Although the Liverpool boss might as well have made such a claim matter-of-factly.

From a Manchester City point of view, they would likely pay no mind to what Jurgen Klopp has claimed as their focus will be to beat Tottenham like every team they face in the title run-in.

Spurs are a quality team and considering City's poor record at their stadium, it would be a statement if they get the all-important three points against them.
