Manchester City have a number of bright talents emerging nowadays - and Tomas Galvez is another off the production line.

The 18-year-old has consistently impressed for Manchester City in the Elite Development squad.

Galvez has already represented the Citizens at Under-18, Under-19 and also Under-21 level.

The teenager has even caught the eye of Finland - who he is eligible to play for thanks to his mother - although he nearly made a huge blunder on the international scene.

So, what did Manchester City starlet Tomas Galvez do? Let's take a look...

What's the story? Well, the London-born talent actually received a call-up to the senior Finland squad last year, but almost linked up with the wrong team after initially thinking it was another Under-21 call.

"It took me a week later until I realised. My dad called me and said 'Tomas, you do realise you've been called up to the first team.' That was when I realised and looked back at the email and it said the official men's team. At first I thought it was the Under-21s. I was ready to go to the Under-21s. I was over the moon."

Nevertheless, it speaks volumes that Galvez - who is also eligible to play for Spain - made his full international debut before his senior debut for Manchester City.

Clearly, the left-back is an exceptional talent.

Tomas Galvez may have a chance under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City Judging by recent reports, it seems as if Pep Guardiola is keen to introduce a natural left-back to his starting XI once again.

Therefore, if Galvez continues to impress at club level as well as on the international scene, he could save Guardiola millions by making the left-back spot his own.
