New Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca will begin his reign in the Blues dugout with a meeting against Pep Guardiola's four-peat Champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

Having hosted another 'big six' side on the opening day of the previous campaign in Liverpool, the Blues will take on the Citizens on Sunday the 18th of August at 16:30 BST in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

A strong end to the 2023/24 campaign saw Chelsea finish in 6th place under Mauricio Pochettino which resulted in them securing European football. However, no more than 48 hours after the conclusion of the campaign, Pochettino surprisingly stepped down as head coach.

With the Blues now onto their fourth permanent head coach in just two years, Maresca will be hoping to make a strong start with favourable fixtures against Wolves (A), Crystal Palace (H), Bournemouth (A), West Ham (A) and Brighton (H) in the first two months of the season.

Having secured European football last season, Chelsea will now have UEFA Europa Conference League football to contend with which may potentially hinder their league form. However, the Blues will no doubt have the tools capable of challenging for a top four place.

Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on the penultimate weekend before finishing the season against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on the 25th of May.

Notable Fixtures London derbies against Arsenal and Tottenham are always eagerly anticipated for Blues supporters.

Maresca's side face Arsenal at the Bridge on 9th November before travelling to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium almost a month later on 7th December.

Chelsea are set to face the Gunners and the Lilywhites in back-to-back fixtures around Spring time. March the 15th sees the Blues travel to the Emirates before hosting Tottenham on the 2nd of April.

Despite not being considered their main rivals, games against fellow West London sides Fulham and Brentford are always ones to keep an eye out for. Chelsea welcome Fulham to SW6 on Boxing Day before heading to Craven Cottage on the 19th of April.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are at home to the Bees during the busy December period on the 14th whilst the reverse fixture is set to take place on April the 5th.

As for games against the other 'Big Six' sides, the Blues play Liverpool on the 19th of October at Anfield before hosting the Reds on the 3rd of May. The West Londoners also travel to Old Trafford and Etihad on the 2nd of November and 25th of January respectively.
