Manchester City youngster Oscar Bobb has dropped his verdict on new signing Savinho.

Savinho became the club's first addition of the summer last week, as he completed a move from Troyes.

The Brazilian impressed last term after going on loan to La Liga outfit Girona, helping them to secure Champions League football.

An agreement had been in place between City and Troyes since the start of the year.

City fans are hoping the club have landed another gem. Last summer the club brought in a seriously exciting winger in the form of Jeremy Doku.

Savinho will perhaps be hoping to follow the Belgian's example in his first season - and Bobb reckons the club have definitely landed a real talent.

In his first press conference in the US, City boss Pep Guardiola said that he felt Savinho was 'devastating' when it comes to one-vs-one situations.

Oscar Bobb also gave his thoughts about Savinho while out in the US.

The Norway international actually previously met Savinho, when the player was doing rehab at City. Since speaking to him, Bobb has kept a close eye on Savinho's progress.

He said (via mancity.com): "A year and a half ago he was doing rehab at Man City, I spoke to him a bit.

"He went to Girona and was flying from the start.

"I've been watching him, great player, can go past anyone, goals, assists, he has everything, and I think he's a great addition..."

Savinho, who cost just over PS33 million in total, will be staying with City for the 2024/25 season as opposed to going straight out on loan.

The early signs are good regarding Savinho All the indications are that City have landed yet another supremely talented young player in Savinho.

It could take him some time to get up to speed, and it is never easy for young players coming to the Premier League.

But thankfully has been signed relatively early and will have the chance to bed in before the new season begins.

He will be guided by potentially the greatest manager of all time in Pep and be surrounded by world-class players on a daily basis, so there is every chance he can become a success at the Etihad.
