Jadon Sancho transfer latest with Chelsea twist and Juventus stance on Man United winger
Source:Manchester Evening

Jadon Sancho might be checking his watch regularly between now and the 11pm deadline tonight.

The reintegrated Manchester United forward was made available for transfer this summer and Ineos are said to be open to a loan or permanent departure. However, time is running out for player and club.

Amid lingering interest from Chelsea and Juventus, among others, Sancho faces an uncertain future. One thing that seems clear, though, is that the former Borussia Dortmund winger will play no part for United this season.

Here, we take a look at the latest deadline day headlines surrounding the 24-year-old winger;

Sancho 'edging closer' to Chelsea move Reports from Team Talk reckon Sancho is edging closer to a move to Chelsea. Interest from Stamford Bridge was first flagged up by German media - raising at least one or two eyebrows along the way - but has now been firmed up and there is chance the 24-year-old could head to west London.

Sancho is said - according to the article - to prefer Chelsea over Juventus. However, there could be complications over an agreement with United claimed to want PS40million for his signature, but negotiations are thought to be in an 'advanced stage' amid a fluid situation with a loan switch also possible.

Juventus swoop for Sancho 'collapses' A proposed transfer to Juventus for Sancho is on 'standby' - as per reports from Italy - with it looking less and less likely that United will strike up a deal with the Italian giants this summer. That update on the saga has been offered up by respected Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Initial confidence that a loan agreement would be sorted by 11pm has diluted to the verge of collapse. It's said that Sancho is being roadblocked by Arthur Melo and Filip Kostic.

Juventus are having problems in shifting those two players on. As such, the Old Lady have little wiggle room in the budget to make Sancho happen.

United 'open' to permanent or loan switch Amid all the uncertainty, United do have a clear plan for Sancho this summer. Nothing has changed there.

The Manchester Evening News understands United were 'open' to selling the forward and four teammates before deadline day rolled around, while they would have been equally 'willing' to accept a loan departure. The stance on Sancho came alongside hopes to move Will Fish, Hannibal Mejbri, Scott McTominay and Facundo Pellistri on.

Fish, Hannibal and Pellistri have departed, while McTominay will follow. What about Sancho?
