One journalist has just shared some pretty exciting comments for Nottingham Forest fans to digest.

It has been an eventful summer for Nottingham Forest supporters so far, with a shock PS35m move to sign Elliot Anderson from Newcastle coming out of nowhere, while a 6ft 8in giant has also been brought to the City Ground in Carlos Miguel.

Now, Nathan Joyes - a South American football expert and journalist - has shared some interesting comments about the Brazilian glovesman...

What Nathan Joyes said about Carlos Miguel Nottingham Forest only just announced Miguel's arrival on Tuesday - following a period of delay in payment as the Garibaldi waited for a new financial year to begin, due to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Now, Joyes has shared what Nottingham Forest fans can expect from the South American, and the comments make for exciting reading.

Speaking on the BBC's Shut Up And Show More Football podcast, the Nottingham Forest fan and expert said: "For his size, he defies logic. He defies science in terms of how quickly he can react, and not just the initial save, the follow ups too. He's been playing in a very poor Corinthians side, so he's probably happy to escape that. He's been very busy since coming in as their No.1 goalkeeper."

Joyes explains that Miguel had to wait a considerable amount of time for a chance in between the sticks, due to the presence of club legend Cassio, which explains why he only made 25 appearances for Corinthians in three years.

Nevertheless, the man from Rio das Ostras certainly made his chances count, impressively keeping 14 clean sheets in those 25 games.

Smart move from Nottingham Forest To avoid any further brushes with the Premier League over PSR, Nottingham Forest need to be alert to market opportunities, like they were with the bargain PS3m signing of Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The signing of Miguel appears to be another example of Nottingham Forest acting smartly, as the Reds managed to sign the 25-year-old for just EUR4m (PS3.4m) due to a release clause in his contract.

Even if Miguel fails in English football, the small nature of the PS3.4m fee means there is little to lose for Nottingham Forest - that sum could actually even be made back.

After all, Nottingham Forest received PS31m for Orel Mangala this summer, and also PS27m for Moussa Niakhate - both fees paid by Lyon - so stranger things have happened.
